"show me the best funnels for low ticket subscriptions like funneloftheweek or like skool's hosted"
Asked by Jose Ramon Fernandez, Turecarga. Answered from the Funnel of the Week library on 22 September 2026.
The short version. The library has eight funnels that sell a recurring membership or subscription at $8 to $99 a month, and none of them sell the subscription first. Every one leads with a cheap or free front end (a $7.99 spreadsheet, free books plus shipping, a $29 program, a lead magnet, a 14-day trial) and attaches the recurring charge to it: pre-checked at checkout, bundled as a free trial, or offered as the first post-purchase upgrade. The best-documented example is MindsetStack, which went from zero to 330,000 monthly visitors in 90 days selling a $7.99 habit tracker with a pre-checked $7.99-every-4-weeks "Momentum" continuity that is nothing more than an email drip. The closest thing to a Skool-hosted model is Closers.io's Unlimited Leads Licensing Program: a $27 VSL offer whose community lives in a 911-member Skool group, gated behind an onboarding call.
"Low ticket subscriptions like funneloftheweek or like Skool's hosted" was read as: recurring memberships, communities, or info-product subscriptions priced roughly $5 to $100 a month, where the recurring charge is the business, not an add-on. We searched all 161 funnels in the library for pages that mention memberships, monthly billing, trials, or Skool, then walked each candidate from the ad to the recurring charge. Physical-product subscriptions (supplements on autoship) were excluded unless the funnel also sells a digital membership. Web2app quiz funnels from the Consumer App Index are noted but not ranked, because they are app subscriptions, not communities.
Two things the library cannot tell you: conversion rates and churn. Where the FOTW host quoted traffic, ad spend, or member counts, those are cited. Where the host ran back-of-napkin economics, they are labelled as estimates.
Ranked by how well the funnel matches the ask (recurring, low ticket, membership-shaped) and how much of it the library documents end to end.
| # | Funnel | Front end | The recurring offer | How continuity is attached | Scale signal (per FOTW breakdown) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | MindsetStack | $7.99 habit tracker spreadsheet (was $59.99) | "Momentum" $7.99 every 4 weeks, email-only | Pre-checked checkbox on the sales page, before Add to Cart | 332,787 visits in Jan 2026, 192 ads live, 845% MoM growth |
| 2 | Piano by Pictures | Free printed books, $19.95 shipping | Piano by Pictures Academy, 30 days free then monthly; yearly $344 | Free trial bundled into the free-plus-shipping offer | Founder says a 7-figure business; 1.5M-view top YouTube ad |
| 3 | Neurotoned | $29 Chronic Fatigue program (was $69, one-time) | $90/yr ($7.50/mo) year-long support; $19/mo or $149/yr on the challenge path | OTO 1 after purchase, plus welcome call as a perk | 202 active ads, 42% of traffic from email |
| 4 | Mindvalley | Silva Ultramind VSL | All-access membership: $99/yr (was $199) or monthly | Membership is the offer; yearly upgrade is OTO 1 ($300) | $4M+ spent on one YouTube VSL over 2+ years |
| 5 | USCCA | Free lead magnet, then VSL | Membership from $39/mo (training + self-defense liability coverage) | Opt-in first, membership sold on a post-opt-in VSL | 800,000+ members cited in the VSL |
| 6 | Closers.io Unlimited Leads | $27 "7 funnels" VSL offer + two $97 bumps | Skool community (911 members) + implementation call; $1,000 live event upsell | Community unlocked only after booking the onboarding call | Meta ads; closers.io claims $30M/yr |
| 7 | eMeals | 16-step quiz | $59.99/yr (~$5/mo) or $29.99/qtr after 14-day free trial; All Access +$3.33/mo | Card-on-file free trial straight after the quiz | 1.7M monthly visits, 280+ Meta ads |
| 8 | Maps to Cash | Low-ticket VSL offer with two pre-checked bumps | GoHighLevel subscription via affiliate link ($97 to $497/mo, 40% recurring to Pavel) + SWAS community | Upsell 1 is a bonus stack for signing up to the SaaS through his link | Host estimates $100K+/mo in affiliate income; 2,000+ students |
MindsetStack sells a Google Sheets habit and task tracker to 18-to-28-year-old men on Meta and YouTube with sub-20-second short-form ads. The funnel is a Shopify store. The continuity is a pre-checked checkbox on the product page: "Join Momentum: FREE bonus templates, weekly newsletters, lifetime updates and 24/7 coaching, $7.99 every 4 weeks." The membership is delivered entirely by email autoresponder. This is the closest match in the library to "a low-ticket subscription like FOTW", because the recurring product is content delivered on a schedule, not software or a physical good.

"That forced continuity $7.99/month Momentum membership? It's not a community. It's not a Skool group. It's not a Circle space. It's not an app. It's just an email autoresponder. ... No community moderators. No platform fees. No wondering why nobody's posting in your Skool group."
"330K visits in January. Let's assume a modest 2% conversion rate ... ~6,600 new customers/month ... Even if only half of buyers keep it, that's 3,300 people at $7.99/month kicking in 4 weeks later. ~$26K/month in recurring revenue after the first month. And that compounds." (host's estimate, not reported figures)
Dr. Ryan Kelly sells printed piano books free plus $19.95 shipping (the "Most Incredible Free Gift Ever" model). The gift comes with 30 free days of the Piano by Pictures Academy membership, and the first post-purchase offer is the yearly membership at $344 with live Q&A sessions. The FOTW course includes a YouTube-ads interview with the founder specifically about running ads to a membership funnel. Since March 2025 they have also run a 26-step quiz lander in parallel with the straight-sale page.

"Ryan uses a 'Most Incredible Free Gift Ever' (MIFGE) model, a free plus shipping offer for books that includes a free trial to the membership. This strategy helps acquire customers for the recurring revenue model, demonstrating that even low-ticket offers can scale significantly." (summary of the Aleric Heck interview in the course)
"It's nowhere near the size of giant offers in the piano learning space like Stephen Ridley's masterclass-piano ... But this is still a 7 figure info product business with a unique approach to customer acquisition."
Neurotoned is a nervous-system healing brand for women 40+, built around nine partner practitioners. The front end is a 4,000-word advertorial that sells a $29 one-time program (was $69, no subscription). After purchase you land on a Welcome page that delivers the program and, after an 8-minute video, reveals the upsell: year-long support at $90/yr ($7.50/mo), with a 30-minute one-on-one welcome call as a perk. A parallel free 3-Day Challenge funnel sells the same membership at $19/mo or $149/yr. The course also captured the cancellation flow.

"The price anchor is clean. $228 crossed out, $90 today. Broken down as $7.50 a month, which feels almost free for someone who just paid $29 for the entry program."
"It's not a true one-click upsell. When you click 'Add Year Long Support,' they take you to a NEW checkout page where you have to re-enter all your info ... This is probably their single biggest funnel optimization opportunity."
"Email channel as 42% of traffic is the headline insight. This is a brand built on a list, not on direct response ROAS ... build a free lead magnet funnel that captures email BEFORE the paid offer."
Mindvalley's Silva Ultramind funnel sells the all-access membership directly. The landing page toggles monthly and yearly pricing; the yearly plan is $99 (was $199, "just $8.25/month, billed yearly, cancel anytime") and monthly is shown at $99. Post-purchase, upsell 1 asks you to upgrade to the yearly membership for $300 (save $100) and upsell 2 sells Lifebook for $299. It is the largest-scale membership funnel in the library, and the one with the most landing-page variants captured (control, var3, var18, var20).

"It's been around for over 2 years, spent over $4M total adspend just on YouTube on this one ad, and still spending nearly $3k/day right now."
"Mindvalley is using this offer as an entry point for their recurring revenue subscription."
The US Concealed Carry Association sells a membership (from $39/mo per the FOTW funnel details) that bundles training, community, a magazine, and self-defense liability coverage. The funnel captured in the course opens with a lead-magnet page, an opt-in, and a post-opt-in VSL that sells the membership. Upsell 1 is a marksmanship kit at 30% off; upsell 2 is a referral page offering $200 store credit per friend who joins. It is the only funnel in the library where the membership itself is the flagship product and the upsell is a referral loop. The library holds course screenshots and 40+ post-purchase emails for USCCA, but no scraped full pages, so the images below are course captures.

"New Mechanism: the USCCA membership, which offers (1) exclusive training and education before/during an incident and (2) self-defense liability insurance and legal help after an incident." (host applying Evaldo Albuquerque's 16-Word Sales Letter framework)
"Upsell #2 encourages brand-new members to refer others right away, thereby tying directly to the main offer's core promise of nationwide family and safety, while also rewarding members for spreading the word."
This is the literal Skool example in the library. A Meta-driven VSL page sells "the exact 7 funnels that built my $30M/yr consulting DFY services company" for $27, with two $97 order bumps. After purchase, upsell 1 is a free implementation call (with slots only today and tomorrow), upsell 2 is a 30-day risk-reversal offer, upsell 3 is a $1,000 in-person event in Arizona. The thank-you page states that access to the training portal and community is granted only after booking the onboarding call, and the community is a Skool group with 911 members at capture time.

"Interesting that you only get access to the training portal + community AFTER you book the onboarding call. Also, notice that you have to be in the portal for a period of time before the upsells / bumps will be unlocked. Again incentivizing scheduling the implementation call."
eMeals is a meal-planning app subscription ($59.99/yr, or $29.99/quarter) sold to busy moms. The funnel starts with a personalisation quiz (goal, diet, family size, grocery store), then a checkout that activates a 14-day free trial with a card on file, then a post-payment upsell to the All Access plan (breakfast, lunch, dessert) for $3.33/mo. It is a software subscription rather than a community, but it is the cleanest quiz-to-trial example in the library and the price point is the lowest of the eight.

"At first glance it looks like they sell recipes. But the real product is decision automation ... That emotional relief is the real product."
Pavel Ketsuk's Maps to Cash sells a low-ticket "Google Maps + AI" local-marketing training with two pre-checked order bumps and a coupon that halves the cart. The recurring revenue is not a membership fee: upsell 1 is a bonus stack (50+ hours of training, coaching Zooms, the SWAS community of 2,000+ students) for signing up to GoHighLevel through his affiliate link, which pays 40% recurring on $97 to $497 a month. It is included because the ask was "low ticket subscriptions", and this is a documented way to run one without owning the subscription product.

"Pavel likely generates six figures in recurring monthly revenue just from GHL referral commissions ... Assuming Pavel maintains 500 active Pro plan referrals: 500 x $198.80 = $99,400/month." (host's estimate)
These sell a recurring line but either the subscription is secondary, the ticket is not low, or the library holds less of the path.

Counts are out of the eight ranked funnels unless stated.
MindsetStack (pre-checked box on a $7.99 product), Piano by Pictures (30-day trial inside a free-plus-shipping gift), Neurotoned ($29 program, then $90/yr), Closers.io ($27 offer, then community), eMeals (quiz, then card-on-file trial), Maps to Cash (bumps, then SaaS affiliate). Only Mindvalley and USCCA sell the membership as the first purchase, and USCCA still takes an email first. Evidence: the MindsetStack landing page and post-purchase page, the Piano checkout FAQ, the Neurotoned welcome page, all above.
Mindvalley ($300 yearly upgrade as upsell 1), Piano by Pictures ($344 yearly as upsell 1), Neurotoned ($90/yr as upsell 1), and eMeals (a higher tier of the same subscription). Designrr does the same with a 7-day Premium trial that rebills at $297/yr. The pattern: sell the small commitment, then immediately sell the big one to the people who just said yes.
USCCA (lead magnet, opt-in, then VSL), Neurotoned (free 3-Day Challenge path, 42% of traffic from email), eMeals (quiz), Piano by Pictures (quiz lander since March 2025), Closers.io (opt-in step before the VSL). The host on Neurotoned: "build a free lead magnet funnel that captures email BEFORE the paid offer, even if conversion on the lead magnet is slow."
Closers.io unlocks the Skool group only after the onboarding call is booked. Neurotoned ties the yearly membership to a 30-minute welcome call with a named guide. Both turn a $27 to $90 buyer into a conversation.
USCCA's upsell 2 is a $200-credit referral page. Alex Hormozi's thank-you page pushes the affiliate program, and the library holds his full affiliate page and resources. For a community product, referral is the cheapest acquisition channel and both put it inside the purchase flow.
Neurotoned's cancellation flow offers an upgrade to $90/yr live support before "Proceed to cancel" (scraped, step 2 shown above). Simple Brain Fix's five-step cancellation flow is captured in the course. No other funnel in the library has its cancel flow documented.
